Episode 5!>>> arg

I finally registered with this forum ---- been meaning to do it since eps 1 came out --- and guys, how's progress? I'm getting the shakes from the lack of Amazon episodes coming out.

I really really really appreciate all the hard work the staff has put in subbing my all time favorite Kamen Rider series. Thank you so much!!!

Episode 05 has been stuck in the typesetting phase for a few months now... Our translator left us so it's gonna be our last episode for a while. It'll get released as soon as we feel like finishing it, but don't get your hopes up for future releases.

We aren't dead though... we're exploring our options and seeking out a new Japanese->English translator. We may even try for a cooperative project with one or more other groups that have translators but lack timers, encoders, or typesetters (all things we have an abundance of). All we can do for now is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

In the mean time though, to keep busy we'll be doing some side-projects like adapting Portuguese dubs to make English subs of some shows... won't be great quality, but it's still better than no subs at all, and we'll hopefully be able to provide real translations for them later on down the road. These won't be HNT projects though... they'll be done under a different name to differentiate them from the real deal.

What's the site you can post requests for translators and other fansub related staff? It's maybe just animesuki.

I've kinda wondered why the smaller groups don't just all come together under one roof to get stuff made, that way more attention would be brought all round and stuff would be more likely to get finished. Right now EJF, GUIS, and here have relatively dead forums (no offence, but it's true). If everyone was all together it may help fix some of that.

That's also the point of my site (in my sig I think), trying to help people find all these great groups who do the subbing for super sentai and kamen rider.

I wholeheartedly agree. I wish all the smaller groups would come together and work with each other instead of just competing.

I think the biggest problem with the smaller groups is if there is a translator available, that person will go to the major groups first, such as TV-Nihon and Order of Zeronos. That kind of preferential treatment kills the little guy. >_>

TV-Nihon and Order of Zeronos have translators for what they're doing so it's maybe not too much of a problem now, but any side projects tvnihon does usually needs one. So yeah it's a problem.

The smaller groups can get by separately but translators are thin on the ground. But at the same time, if a translator came to the group to find that 12 shows (the number of sentai/kamen rider shows not done by tvnihon/order of zeronos) needed translating, it may be a bit daunting.

I think the main problem is that the fans get spread over several forums, if there was 1 forum for all the fansub groups, there may be more action. Just set it up so each group has control over they're shows board, so they can moderate as well as whoever gets elected to be in charge of the whole forum. It's a suggestion anyway.

It is a nice thought IF it could come to that. Problem is people's egos individually or group wise in their quest for "praise' usually get in the way, sadly. ..but in fairness there are a couple that will step out and help other groups in ways , be it typsetting, karaoke etc. . Just not enough of that going around.

I know what you mean. In the last 6 months or so there have bee a few people that have come to the forefront and helped with everything they can. It's awesome because groups are starting to make progress whereas before there wasn't any chance of starting anything because of the lack of help around.

Now if only we could find a translator that could work on 8 or 9 projects at once, we'd be sorted.
