Hello there my fellow fans of retro.
Im a scanlator with a certain... dislike you could say, for most modern mainstream things, especialy the streamlined things they produce in japan.

So glad to see a group that knows whats good ;)

Glad to have ya aboard! 8)

I personally like all toku, both new and old, but I don't think old-school toku gets the respect it deserves. That's why we exist. That's why we do what we do. It's quite a rewarding experience, to watch these shows finally see the light of day among toku fans, and to finally be able to fully understand them.

There is certain trends that i really disslike. Like how the main characters should always be teens. The guys should look as femenine as possible. That emo is considdered cool etc, also, how shows today are always so lacking in violence despite them supposedly being action shows... Amazon certainly delivers :) (and not in a bad way like changeman that has nothing but action and forgets the story)
I might still enjoy a show despite these things. But id rather see something without.

You're missing out on some good discussions then. 8) We mainly use this forum for production updates, which are hidden from everyone but the people that need to see them, of course. For the most part this place is a ghost town, since this obviously isn't a very large or popular group. It's just here for the sake of having a forum, and for people to post feedback and whatnot.

We do pop in all the time though, to reply to anyone who chooses to post, but the bulk of our conversations are held in IRC. Should you ever choose to take part, our channel is #HiNoTori-Fansubs @ Rizon.net

We do have a lot of fun though. Lots of juicy discussions and debates! 8)
