What was you first Kamen Rider series to watch

Postby Crystal Ranger on Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:45 pm

For me it would be Kamen Rider Kabuto.

Actually I watched the first four episodes of Kuuga (from TVN) first, but as far as a whole series go I started on it and throughout the process of watching it I started watching every other series I could find subbed. So while I may have finished all of them before Kabuto ended I still count this one because it is the series that got me into the franchise to begin with. No big wonder it is my favorite series thus far either.

For me, it's Black. Although I watched the first episode of Ryuki first. But I switched to Black. Not sure why. I just had this feeling that Ryuki might not be a good start (even though I enjoyed the first episode). Anyway, Black was the first series that I watched from start to finish. And I loved it! This tempted me to watch others. Now, I'm a Rider fan! :)

I watch 555 first, then followed TV-Nihon's releases for later series. I watched Century Kings' Black episodes, and earlier this year watched the fixed HK subs for the rest of Black and RX and Kuuga and ZX. (They were understandable subs, what got me though was the ridiculous changed names.) Then I watched Cruel Angel's Agito subs.

I also started keeping up with the Amazon releases here since earlier this year as well. As of now, I'm also watching V3. I'm up to episode 5.

i started about a year or so ago with the earliest complete series i could find, Agito then Blade then Fiaz. Now im watching Kuuga, Decade and of course AMAZON!!!!!!

ive started taking it easy now though coz i dont want to rush through all the best series and just have the not so good left.

Hurray for the hawaiian V3 dvds appearing on torrents though thats the series i wanted to see the most!!!

It was either the first ep of the original or v3. God I wish those series would be subbed completely and not just one episode :_(

1. That site doesnt work. Atleast not right now. edit: it works now, must have just been a hickup or something.

2. I live in R2 country, where life is tough and food is scarce... Well if its avaible I'll see if I can import it from somewhere.

edit2: *SPITS DRINK ALL OVER SCREEN* Thats the price! 6 discs for almost 200 us$? Thats like 5 times the cost of every other TV series ever put out on dvd, how comes?

nope thats about right, $33 a disk, well thats actually cheaper than some disks, normal kamen rider volumes are upwards of $40, so really its quite a bargin, if i had the money up front I would buy that

Yup, you wanted V3 subbed ..and it is. Now you just have to say to yourself how bad you want to see it heh because it IS licensed and has been subbed so no fansub group is ever going to sub it. You have a few choices to make. Never see it subbed. Buy those GENKikaida legits or buy the HK subbed heh. That's it in a nutshell. It's still cheaper per disc than any R2 from Japan and subtitled. So....

Man I heard there was this one anime company that did this japanese price style with their releases but atleast those were super high quality and really fresh stuff that was just released in japan.
This is a 70s series and 10 episodes per disc so its bound to not be very good quality.

I like supporting creators. But this is one I'll have to pass. Atleast if I dont see it second hand or something(wich is unlikely).
